AstroLainy: A Cosmic Perspective on Life
AstroLainy is more than astrology; it’s a way of experiencing the universe through different perspectives, recognising the patterns of life, and taking responsibility for our choices.
My journey into the structured study of astrology began in February 2014 under the guidance of Annorien Roos, the Whale Coast Astrologer in Hermanus, South Africa. But my fascination started long before that—always reading, always questioning, always seeking. Even before I knew my exact birth time, I was drawn to the stars, sensing that the cosmos holds a mirror to our lives.
With Sagittarius and Gemini deeply embedded in my chart, my perspective is ever-expanding, weaving curiosity with wisdom. Jupiter, my chart ruler, sits in Capricorn in my second house—often seen as a challenge, but for me, it’s a lesson in responsibility. Responsibility is, in fact, at the heart of my practice.
Astrology is not about fate; it’s about choice. Blame, guilt, joy, frustration—every emotion, every action is part of the narrative we create. In a world where people often defer responsibility—to governments, industries, or circumstances—I encourage a conscious approach to life. What we consume, how we engage, the decisions we make, even the way we enter this world through birth—each aspect carries meaning.
We’re moving toward a time where personal accountability is essential. Society’s structures, whether familial or institutional, shape our beliefs and expectations, but we are not powerless. The next generation, born with the sun positioned differently due to modern birth trends, carries a new hero’s journey. How will they shape the world? How will we?
Astrology, to me, is not a belief system—it’s a language, a tool for understanding ourselves and our place in the universe. My work is about translating that language in a way that empowers people to live consciously, responsibly, and in harmony with their true nature.
